Kieland Shea Edmonds was born on the 29th of July, 1991, and has been passionately building his portfolio of character, creature and story concepts since he was 13. At age 14, he became the youngest student ever accepted into a 14-week “Introduction to Maya” course at VanArts. Kieland would later go on to his first official design job for Director Chris Columbus on the film Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightening Thief.
Growing up in Vancouver, British Columbia, Kieland went to private school up until grade 8, where he completed high school at Byrne Creek Secondary. A few months after graduation, he went straight into his 1 year Game Design course at the Vancouver Film School to learn first hand the process of game production.
Taking much of his inspiration from classical art and mythology, Kieland is driven by his long-standing dreams of working in the game industry to continue his art and clash it with his desire to write stories. Currently, he is anxiously awaiting the release of his first novella.
